Tagged: APRTP, permalinks
Hi, I sell video embeded in pages via Wp-estore and it worked fine till I tried to have /%postname/ permalinks in stead of mywebsite/?p=28
The user gets the encrypted link after payment, sees the desired page, but the video does not appear.
Any clue to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance
Yeah, the links change by themselves, correctly because that’s what WordPress does. I suspect the embedded videos use hardcoded URI that are keyed to the “old permalink” format. If that is the case, you have to update those by hand.
But since you haven’t provided any specific details, like test pages or shortcodes that you are using; this is just a guess.
Thanks for your answer.
Embedded video use a link such as
<iframe src=”//player.vimeo.com/video/XXXXXX” height=”375″ width=”500″ allowfullscreen=”” frameborder=”0″></iframe>
which does not belong to my website.
This is why I dont understand where the problem comes from
(sorry not to provide any test page, but my website is still under development and I don’t want to spread it yet…)
Edit: actually, everything between [wp_eStore_APR expiry=0 status=unexpired] and [/wp_eStore_APR] disapears when changing to /%postname%/ permalinks
Ok, so you are using APR protected pages. You have the expiry set for non-expiring too. Please try clearing *ALL* of your browser cookies. I think your browser still contains APR cookies keyed to the old permalinks.
Found the solution here:
eStore – APR page: admin encrypted link – Content between shortcode is hidden
“The specified URI used with the APRTP protocol does not ***EXACTLY*** match the “pretty permalink” format used for the non-APR URL.”
Thanks for your help
The “Trailing Slash” strikes again, LOL!
