Is it possible to get the auth_code (credit card authorization code) from authorize.net returned in the in the seller email? I see a x_auth_code in the URL string when it returns to the payment page but I’m not sure how to utilize that…if possible.
Why do you want the Authorization Code? It serves no practical purpose, other than (its intended use) to reconcile credit pre-authorizations against actual transaction charges. And eStore does not perform pre-authorizations. The charge either “goes through,” or “it doesn’t.”
My client is requesting the authorization code but I do not know exactly why they need it. I assume it was in order to match up transactions but I can’t say for sure. Is this something can is possible to be captured and provided on the seller email response (notification of payment)?

“Pretty Print” — The client may be under the mistaken assumption that being able to proudly display the code on a receipt, somehow makes the transaction more credible.
Not every one of the available payment gateways used by eStore would be able to provide the authorization code, if available, in the same way. This would have to be a custom coding job.
