Not sure if anyone uses Thesis Awesome Blogskin. there used to be a featured post slider image on top of the blog but after installing WPeStore the slider disappeared. After having someone from Thesis Awesome going through it this is what they replied.
“Hi,
I think the problem comes from the WP eStore and WP affiliate Platform plugins, there is a conflict in the java script, this is a common thing. So when we deactivate those two plugins the slider works.
I know that those two plugins are important for you, so I recommend you just ignore the slider for now, I am trying to free some time to change the slider with a better one in the next update, however I am not sure when it will be ready.
Also, another suggestion it to contact the author of the plugins and ask him his opinion, maybe he have a solution, I know he have a great support and he have more experience than me with this type of issues. (I was using his plugins on one of my sites). So if you got a chance to contact him, please keep me updated.”
Not sure if anyone else here has the same problem or if support from WP eStore can troubleshoot on the conflict.
August 20, 2011 at 7:22 am #35729adminKeymasterIf that theme is coded correctly then it shouldn’t conflict at all. Obviously it is a JavaScript conflict but it shouldn’t happen if the theme is coded correctly.
If you send me a link to the site where you have both the plugins active I will be able to look at the HTML source code and tell you what was done wrong.

Site is [http://redneckglasses.com]
August 21, 2011 at 10:56 pm #35731adminKeymasterI don’t see the slider on that page. Do you have it active? At the same time please uncheck the “Enable Fancy Redirection On Checkout” Checkbox from eStore’s settings menu.
August 22, 2011 at 12:31 am #35732noyzmediaMember[http://screencast.com/t/tnZH8JFX] yup that’s checked.. and Fancy redirect has been unchecked.
August 22, 2011 at 4:55 am #35733adminKeymasterCan you point out where your slider is? I can’t see any featured content slider on your site.
August 22, 2011 at 5:29 am #35734noyzmediaMemberThe slider was on top of the very first post similar to this one [http://screencast.com/t/5AdtHhnmiw]
August 22, 2011 at 11:20 pm #35735adminKeymasterOkay I see how the slider looks. So as soon as you activate eStore the slider just disappears from your site?
This is what I have been trying to tell you. For me to be able to troubleshoot something I need to see the code. When I go to YOUR site I do not see any sign of a slider so I don’t even know which bit of Javascript code could be conflicting. I don’t see how eStore can just make the slider disappear from your site. So can you please confirm that when you activate eStore the slider disappears?
August 24, 2011 at 7:30 am #35736hishamanMemberHi noyzmedia, and Key,
I am the developer of the BlogSkin, and I am also a member of tipsandtricks-hq.com.
I have changed the whole slider code with a better one as I see the problem, so now things are good. This issue is no longer excists.
I would like to thank noyzmedia for openning the thread, and you admin for your time.
August 24, 2011 at 7:47 am #35737adminKeymaster@hishaman, Thank you! I like it when a plugin or theme developer actively work towards creating a better solution.
June 12, 2013 at 8:11 pm #35738roghawkMemberHishaman, can you post what the problem was so we can maybe find a solution to other themes? I have tried 3 themes with sliders and all of them break when eStore is activated. I’d like to understand this and find a solution to use a slider with eStore but so far, I’m not finding it.
I read the articles on the other pages for bad coding, rogue themes, etc. but they don’t help someone like me because I don’t see where the java script is removing the slider code. (e.g. just like key master didn’t see it above).
June 12, 2013 at 11:27 pm #35739adminKeymasterHi, Please share the URL of your site where you have the theme installed and I will take a look and give you more details of the error you may have on the theme.
