Hello Support,
WP eMember is generating problems.
Issue #1: WP eMember & Woocommerce
WP eMember send Auto Upgrade “unnecessarily annoying email notification, despite “Auto Upgrade is disabled.“ Not at all good from “GDPR” point of view!
I have tracked this erroneous behavior. The sequence of events happens as follows after purchase from your WooCommerce store;
(i). WP eMember successfully send “complete the registration” email with a “unique-link”.
(ii). Member “username” and “password” registration successfully occurs after click on the link in the email.
(iii). Can successfully log into the sites premium members only content.
The problem is;
The “unnecessarily annoying Auto Upgrade email notification “gets triggered as soon as the WooCommerce-order is marked as “Complete”.
These two events happen immediately and simultaneously.
The Woocommerce-Order-Complete-receipt is sent out and at the same time the “Auto Upgrade email notification” gets triggered.
I have experimented, as an example say after 15 or 20min when you go mark the order complete. Immediately the Woocommerce-Order-Receipt notification goes out, and the “Auto Upgrade email gets triggered. Both the emails have identical “time-stamp.”
It consistently happens with this pattern!
How can we stop this Auto Upgrade “unnecessarily annoying email notification”?
Issue #2: short code [wp_eMember_compact_login] does not display the “name” when the member logs in.
I’d be more than happy to set up Admin account for you to test, troubleshoot and rectify.
I hope to get your assistance at your earliest convenience.
Thanks
Sunil
August 28, 2018 at 4:36 am #78403adminKeymasterLet me first see which of the setup options you are following so I can better understand your setup. Please take a look at the following documentation:
Are you using scenario 1 or 2?
August 29, 2018 at 3:03 am #78404linuskMemberI am using; “WooCommerce and eMember Registration Scenario [1].”
As a side note, the other possibility could be “Your woocommerce plugin version is showing as[Tested up to:4.8.7]. This is vastly different to succession of upgrade to latest WordPress 4.9.8.
And in-between last few months, Woocommerce has released “major upgrade and changes.”
Hope this can be resolved at the earliest convenience.
Thanks
August 29, 2018 at 5:36 am #78405adminKeymasterThe upgrades not an issue as I already tested it. I updated the version number compatibility of the addon anyway.
For scenario 1, the update/upgrade email is not suppose to trigger as they are getting the account for the level they are paying for directly.
Let me check your setup on the site. I have sent you an email for it.
August 29, 2018 at 10:59 pm #78406linuskMemberI replied to your email with Admin login details.
Will wait for the test outcome and rectification.
Thankyou
