WP eMember and Mailchimp

So after having the eStore for several months, I finally decided to do the right thing and purchase the eMember plugin. Shortly before I purchased eMember I started using Mail Chimp (and love it). I was hoping to set up my site where anyone that joins the site will automatically be added to my Mail Chimp list, but it appears that may not be possible.

So of course my questions are: 1. Is it possible 2. Are they plans to do so (if not) 3. Since you chose Aweber to intergrate eMember with, what makes them the better choice for email marketing, etc?

Hi, Right now it’s not possible to add the members automatically to your mailchimp list but there are plans to implement this feature in future.

If you have eStore then you can easily use the mailchimp integration of eStore to sign your members to your mailchimp list when they pay from the membership.

Yes, we have plans to add mailchimp to eMember. To cut the long story short AWeber has the highest email delivery gurantee so a lot of the bigger email marketers use AWeber which is why I integrated AWeber first.

Just wondering whether your plans to add Mailchimp to eMember had come any further, or whether it’s still a pipeline thing? The membership is free, or I’d use eStore for that functionality.
