Hi – I use the excellent WP Audio player to preview audio for my site [www.yopo.co.uk]
Does anyone know if there is any alternative to this that will degrade to HTML5 when users are on iPhone or iPad? At the moment if someone is browsing on an iPad/iPhone and your site uses the WP Audio player you just get a message about Flash not being installed… (RIP SJ)
I know there are a few players out there but I’m after something as easy as the WP audio player to call with a shortcode. I’ve got 300 tracks to change…
Any ideas?
Thanks
Jonathan

I have the same problem, work great on desktops but NOT on apple products!!
We created a compact audio player plugin that uses HTML5. You can try that plugin:

This plugin works in all browsers.
Hi,
This works fine… But… As said in the extra shortcodes pdf, with the [wp_eStore_fancy8 id=1] or fancy9, which is the best to use to sell digital albums in my opinion :
“The mp3 file from the Digitial Product URL field will be used as the source audio.”
So how is it possible to give customers only an excerpt of a song ? Because if they wanted, they could stand all day long listening to the music without paying…
Thanks,
Domi
Use option 2 explained in the following documentation. This will allow you to use a different mp3 file as your preview (you can make a 10 seconds preview file):
