I’m having issues getting the affiliate and eStore plugins to work correctly for my clients website.
We’re using WP Affiliate (v 1.6), WP eStore (v 2.6.9) & WishList Member (v2.20.435-2). I got the Wishlist integration package and replaced the paypal.php file but it still isn’t working fully. Could it be that I don’t have the latest version of WP Affiliate or WP eStore? I know we’re using the latest version of WishList Member.
I enabled all plugins and set them up as directed and everything seems to be working. I moved the affiliate folder to a custom location using the directions given.
Affiliates can sign up and grab their banner/text links etc. That all seems fine, but when I click a link and do a test subscription purchase it doesn’t record anything for the affiliate. The subscription purchase goes through and is recorded fine in the eStore. The worst problem is that the customer doesn’t return to the correct sign up page and their registration remains incomplete.
Something is definitely wrong somewhere and I need help to get this to work.
I’m more than a little upset because it should work “out of the box”. These plugins were sold as being easy to get “working” and so far they aren’t, I must be missing something. I have a lot of web experience so I don’t think this is a newbie mistake.
I’m wondering if it has to do with me moving the affiliate code to a custom folder, but really since affiliates can sign up fine that doesn’t seem to be the obvious problem. No errors are given and all seems fine.
I see that there are a few set up fields which aren’t explained very well. This is likely to be where the problem is.
In the eStore Plugin under Add/Edit Products > Additional Product Details > Reference Text: It says: Reference Text field can be useful when integrating with a membership plugin. My guess would be to add the SKU of the membership level in that field but I’m not exactly sure about that. Have I missed that explanation somewhere? How about using the return link or part of it maybe? An example or further explanation here would be wonderful.
In the eStore Plugin under the General Shopping Cart Settings > Return URL: What should be added in that field? I added the one membership link there as a test but that isn’t correct. The test just created 2 records one the customer could fill out and the other record was incomplete. Again, have I missed that explanation somewhere?
The explanation to get these plugins to work with Wishlist Member doesn’t seem to be enough. I only see a general explanation with almost nothing more, so I need further assistance to get all this to work.

I will send you an email so we can do this step by step to see what the issue is.
December 5, 2009 at 1:33 am #16460gfmediaMemberI reviewed the directions again from the following page
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-estore-and-wishlist-plugin-integration-448
And based on this step…
3. When configuring a button use the Membership Level SKU in the “Reference Text” field under the Additional product details section.
I did this part correct but still “a link to complete the registration” is not happening either as a redirect or being sent by email. Does this mean I don’t have Wishlist Member set up correctly somewhere? I’m going back over that now.

March 23, 2010 at 10:39 pm #16462IvyMemberHi, We have since changed the WishList integration. Now all the integration happens in eStore and no coding changes are needed. There should not be any problems with the integration. Please let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,
Ivy

It is only once they receive the email that they are provided a link to register. I would like both things to happen.
November 14, 2011 at 10:38 pm #16464adminKeymasterThe integration documentation explains what flow of events you can expect from the eStore and WishList integration (check the “WP eStore and WishList integration scenerio” link):
