Can you tell me if the Affiliate plugin will be suitable for making commission payments to users with the role of Author on my site.
I will have certain digital products for sale which I want to pay a commission to the author.
I do not require to use it for outside Affiliate use at this time so it will be purely for the basic use of paying commission to my own Authors – or is there another way ?
I have estore and emember.
Thank you
What you want to do is called “revenue sharing.” Revenue sharing requires both eStore and Affiliate Platform:
However, this setup only works for products processed by eStore. How exactly do you envision this process working on your site?
I have some pay per view content using estore, the content is supplied by my users so I want to share this revenue. I also use the credit tokens add on as currency. As I only sell with estore do you think this would work for me ?
The commission will be given in credit tokens (given you are selling using credit tokens/points). As long as you are okay with that, it should work.
You just can’t mix having some commissions in dollar amounts and then some in credit points (in the same site). Your currency for commission needs to be the same for that install. So if you say that the commission values are in “credit tokens/points” then all commissions shown in your site will be in credit points.
A way to cash out the tokens for affiliates would be a great addition, – if you really want to incentivize content creators its better as cash. Kind of like at a casino chip exchange.
