Tagged: Affiliate Commission, self promotion
When I first set up WP affiliate a few weeks ago, I hadn’t decided the actual commission level for my product and just put in 20 (%) so I could test the system.
Now I want to change the percentage, I have gone into WP affiliate/setting/commission setting and changed it to 30 then clicked update options but when I check the ‘manage affiliates the commission is still set at 20 and if I log in as my testing affiliate the commission there is still set at 20.
I also changed the setting in WP estore
I am using WP Affiliate Platform Settings v 5.0.8
and WP eStore Settings v 6.5.9
I assume I am missing something here, any help would be much appreciated, my site goes live in a few days and I need this sorted quickly.
Thanks,
Jo
Hi Jo,
The “Commission Level” value in the Affiliate->Settings page will determine the default commission whenever a new affiliate signs up.
You can change the individual “Commission Value” for an affiliate by setting it in the manage affiliate page.
Have you tried creating a new affiliate and then checking the manage affiliate section to ensure that the individual commission for the new affiliate is as per the value you specified in the settings (ie, 30)?
Thanks Peter,
I created a new affiliate as you suggested and it worked. Also figured out how to edit the existing affiliates – I missed the roll-over just under their names.
Fantastic, hopefully everything else is working.
cheers

I dont think so this is what I am looking for.. I want the following:
1. for recurrding payment for affiliates own payment, they should not get commission
2. they should not get commission if they use their link to make purchase.
I am sorry I have not found relevant thing on link above. I am sorry if I am wrong.
