I’m trying to set up one primary area to manage all affiliates.
Is it possible to use WP Affiliate to track on multiple domains? One we’re using eStore and the other we’re using a cart that came built into her WP theme.
Or…should I purchase her a second license and keep them seperate?
Thanks,
Anna Marie
July 14, 2010 at 11:13 pm #22447wpCommerceModeratorYou will have separate WordPress Installation on separate domain, right? Then you should consider installing the WP Affiliate Platform installed on each domain.
If all these domains are promoting the same product/business then you can use the pass thru affiliate link feature:
or you could try the satellite affiliate plugin addon option.
July 14, 2010 at 11:20 pm #22448amin007ParticipantYeah you can’t access cookie of one domain from another domain (it would be a security issue). There are other ways to do your setup to accommodate what you are after. The following post is a good read for you:
Our recommended solutions for your setup is to use our satellite affiliate addon or the pass thru affiliate link feature of the plugin.

Such as yoururl.com/blog1 & yoururl.com/blog2 … or as Multi Site or MU mode?
I’m running into the same situation Anna is, with each of my domains being all over the place and really wanting a centralized affiliate system.
October 12, 2010 at 4:56 pm #22450mikru2010MemberI’m looking for an answer to this question too.
My special situation is that i plan to have (wordpress) sales pages for different products on subdomains, like 1.mydomain, 2.mydomain etc.
How can i get this to work with estore and wp-affiliate-platform?
October 13, 2010 at 2:31 am #22451amin007ParticipantYeah you can do this using the wp affiliate platform. We have developed a helper addon (satellite affiliate addon) that you place on your sub-domain installs and it will communicate with the main plugin installed on the main site to track clicks and sales.
October 14, 2010 at 7:36 am #22452mikru2010MemberGreat . How to get the helper plugin?
October 14, 2010 at 12:54 pm #22453siddaleeMemberI would like the helper plugin for this too. (Thank You)

November 12, 2010 at 8:28 am #22455kodeexiiSpectatorSalam n Hola,
Interesting. How about creating helper plugin that works across different domains?
Main affiliate domain: maindomain.com
This is where the main wp affiliate plugin is installed.
External domains: domain1.com, domain2.com, etc
This is where the helper wp affiliate plugin is installed.
On all the domains, affiliates can use their affiliate id: maindomain.com/?ap_id=affiliate, domain1.com/?ap_id=affiliate, domain2.com/?ap_id=affiliate
All actual tracking is actually done at maindomain.com
Every other domains just pass the necessary clicks, sales, affiliate activities to maindomain.com. Perhaps can use the remote HTTP Get and POST API?
This way, we can have just one master affiliate center.
Currently I have quite a number of websites – all on totally separate domains. Would like to have affiliates on all of them. I don’t think my affiliates would like the idea of having to create so many affiliate accounts on all the sites.
Now, I may be wrong in saying that you could probably use the Remote HTTP GET and POST for this. My web development knowledge is minimal. Just throwing some ideas.
But if this could be done, this will certainly be the most awesome affiliate plugin on the net. Not that it not already is…
I’ve just started using it, though I’ve bought it for quite a while.. so far, it’s been great.
Regards

September 15, 2012 at 4:51 pm #22457artyarty1MemberI would also like this plugin. I filled out the contact form over 24 hours ago. Can you please send me the plugin. Thank you.
September 22, 2012 at 5:08 pm #22458truedogpoliticsMemberYes – I wold like the helper plugin too – the one that works across multiple domains.
Is this the “satellite” plugin” I’ve seen mention of?
If so – I just submitted a request via the manual update form – which also included a request for the satellite plugin.
I have a main site [www.mysite.com] – which has the WP Affiliate plugin installed.
\However – I also have a squeeze page site – [www.mysitetraining.com] – which I offer free training as an introduction to my main course.
I want affiliates to sigh up on my main site – BUT drive traffic to the training site – which is where the sale takes place.
OR – depending on the functionality of the helper/satellite plugin – I can redirect back to the main site for the sale.
Please advise.
Thanks!
September 23, 2012 at 12:01 am #22459adminKeymasterYes, this helper plugin is also known as the satellite affiliate plugin.
How are you handling the sale on the other site? I mean what eCommerce solution are you using there that is processing the sales?
September 24, 2012 at 10:12 pm #22460truedogpoliticsMemberHi –
Thanks – yes I am looking forward to receiving the Satellite plugin from Ivy!
So here’s what I’m doing:
SITE A: Free Training Site – [www.mysitetraining.com] (Running OptimizePress sales funnel)
SCENARIO
1) offering free training in a 3 part launch series on [www.mysitetraining.com]
2) affiliates drive traffic to THIS site where users sign up via sWeber to receive series of training calls/videos
3) Following 3rd video/call – users are offered a membership to primary training site and given a special link to MAIN SITE where sale takes place.
SITE B: MAIN Site – [www.mysite.com] (Running OptimizePress integrated with Wishlist Member, aWeber & PayPal (biz account) for eCommerce. I also have WP Affiliate installed & trying to integrate WP Affiliate with the rest!)
SCENARIO:
1) Potential clients are directed to SITE B (Main Site)[www.mysite.com] to join/purchase full training course & check out using OptimizePress button integrated with PayPal & WL Member.
2. Customers complete purchase and are returned to WL registration page.
3. WP Affiliate – hopefully my affiliates (who sigh up here to begin with) get credit for completed purchases.
AFFILIATE MAP:
1. Affiliates sign up on SITE B (MAIN SITE) using WP Affiliate platform.
2. I will install the SATELLITE PLUGIN of SITE A – the free training site – which affiliates will drive traffic to sigh up for the free preview training series.
3. I am hoping this works – so that when customers are directed in 10 days to MAIN SITE – my affiliates will get credit for the sale.
OTHER QUESTIONS:
A. Does this sound like it will work or am I missing something?
B. Also – I am assuming the Satellite Plugin facilitates the cookie across the domains from SITE B (Affiliates sign up for AFF Program) to SITE A (Affiliates drive traffic to free training site where users sign up for free series via aWeber) and back to to SITE B (where users purchase full course)?
C. Regarding the initial signups via aWeber – is there any way to track those sign ups via the WP Affiliate plugin too (and then not just the sales?)
Thanks so very much!
