I have a basic question, but can’t find the answer because it’s probably to simple…I have a membership blog, with a monthly recurring payment.
If somebody buys the monthly fee, the person who sent him will have 25 % of commission. Who is going to pay him those 25 % ? Is it me, or is paypal going to pay those 25 % (how can paypal have the information to pay that person?).
I also have the wishlist plugin on my blog, so what do i have to do ?
1. Do i only add :
<input type=”hidden” name=”custom” value=”[wp_aff_custom_args]”/>
at the end of all my paypal buttons that are already on my blog ?
2. Or do i have to add Option the codes that appear on 2) Integrating PayPal Button Using PayPal’s IPN Feature (More suited for developers)
3. Or do i have to add both ?
Do i have to check something else in general settings ?
Every thing was sweet and easy until that issue
I think i need to understand who is going to pay my affiliates and how before all, and what is the use of that code we are adding on the paypal button ?
Thanks a lot for your help.
Best regards.

April 9, 2013 at 11:12 pm #54990wpCommerceModeratorHi, please check the following documentation for integrating affiliate plugin with wishlist member plugin (it has an example image to show you where to add that specific line of tracking code in the PayPal button):
Let me know if that makes it a little more clear on what to do with your PayPal button.
Regarding the commission, the way an affiliate program works is that your affiliates earn commissions when they refer clients and the client makes a sale. This commission keeps accumulating. Then at the end of the month or at the start of the next month you pay all the outstanding commission. All the money from the sales goes to your account, you pay the commission whenever you want to (usually admins do it once a month). The “Manage Payouts” menu in the plugin lets you generate a masspay file that you can use to pay your affiliates easily using PayPal:

Alternatively, you could do bank transfer or send checks.

Thanks, that helps a lot.
So if i add the specific line of tracking code for wishlist member to all my paypal buttons, i don’t need to specify the URL of the ipn handling script in my PayPal button’s code ?
In other terms, i only follow the instructions of:
AND NOT the instructions of :
Thanks.
Best regards.
