Question:
Can WP Affiliate Platform be integrate with Amember?
I have a site that is already set with Amember using PAYPAL as payment system and will love to add WPAP as affiliate program. Maybe thru Paypal IPN.

September 17, 2010 at 10:32 am #24416aochartMemberYes to the 2 questions… aMember uses IPN and have the option to pass the IPN to an aditional 3rd party software (example, Jrox, IDev,).
Your software is great… I already installed, and the look and fell of WordPress Affiliate Platform is SUPERIOR… First Class.
I just need to find how to integrate with aMember, because I already have a site working with that system.
Note: There is a big niche of people using aMember (is one of the first membership software in the market) but the affiliate option that comes with that software don’t do the job… and WPAP could be a great companiom.
If you need more info you can sent me a PM.

You should be able to use “Method 2” from here:
Direct/Plain/Hosted PayPal Button and Affiliate Plugin Integration
Basically, include the cookie value in the “custom” field of the PayPal button then configure aMember so it passes the IPN to the following URL after a payment:
http://www.your-domain-name.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-affiliate-platform/api/ipn_handler.php
You will have to change “www.your-domain-name.com” with the actual domain name.
Let me know how you go.
September 18, 2010 at 11:21 am #24418aochartMemberHi,
aMember don’t use a straight paypal button, it create an account for the buyer first and then redirect to paypal with the info of the buyer already in.
I’m not a coder, but I think we need to creat some kind of plugin for amember that integrate with WP Affiliate Platform. That is the way they do it with JRox JAm, iDev, PAP 4 and other affiliate software that integrate with aMember.
Maybe with the HTTP Get or Post options.
