Hi there

    I want to integrate WP Affiliate with a standard button i.e. a NON-PAYPAL button here:

    The site is here: [www.getpodcasting.co.za]

    I want to integrate the WP Affiliate code [wp_aff_custom_input] inside this button code;

    <div class=”thrv_wrapper thrv-button” data-css=”tve-u-15f4956b735″ style=””>

    <//a href=”https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_s-xclick&hosted_button_id=RC78MQXNPRMCC”>

    I have already included the email buy link from PayPal but don’t know where to put the [wp_aff_custom_input] code.

    Please let me know how to integrate the WP Affiliate code inside a non-paypal button

    Thanks

    The button on your website looks fine to me. As long as you have done the other steps explained in the following documentation, the button on the site should track referrals correctly:

    Regarding the email link, you can’t do tracking on an email link if it is totally bypassing your site and going directly to paypal. No affiliate tracking software can track a setup where the link just goes directly to paypal without touching your site (where the software is running). The general practice is to send the user to your landing page from the email. Then the user will click on the buy button on the landing page and tracking will work fine for that.

    If you need to offer a buy link in the email that goes to paypal (but via your site so tracking can happen) then you need to use our WP eStore plugin. That plugin has a buy now link feature that takes the buyer to paypal in one click but via your site. The following post explains how this feature of eStore works:

    eStore – How to Use a Text Link or URL to Accommodate the Purchase of a Product

    WP eStore has built in integration with the affiliate plugin so any transaction via eStore will do referral tracking automatically.
