Hi,
I installed my plugin on wordpress 3.10 but it doesn’t work properly. It registers neither the visit on affiliates link nor payements.
Now I am sure it was right installed. I tried to create an accaout as affiliate of my own, I put my affiliate link on it, clicked on it and nothink. The visit wasn’t tracked. An affiliate of mine sold a product, I received the payement but nothing is tracked.
Can you help me?
Thanks

April 9, 2011 at 12:15 pm #31156NicMemberHi,
here is the affiliatio page.http://www.segretibancari.com/vuoi-affiliarti/
This is the ‘clean’ landing page:
http://www.segretibancari.com/pagine/investimento-perfetto.html
and this one is my own affliate page:
http://www.segretibancari.com/pagine/investimento-perfetto.html?ap_id=bancariopentito
Does it depend from host provider?
In any case thaks for your help.

The affiliate platform is a WordPress plugin. It has no knowledge of any stand alone HTML pages that you have on your server. It’s like telling the Akismet plugin to stop spam comments on this HTML page. A wordpress plugin does not work outside of WordPress so when your visitors are landing on this standalone HTML page the plugin doesn’t even know that a visitor has landed.
If you are using WordPress on your site then you can create the exact same looking landing/sales page using WordPress. WordPress allows you to do this using “Custom Page Template”. This article explains more in detail:
April 13, 2011 at 10:11 am #31158NicMemberThanks. Now it works on tracking visits but it does not track sales.
I created a ‘proof’ page here:
http://www.segretibancari.com/investimento-perfetto-prova/?ap_id=bancariopentito
I payed on associated paypal but the sale is not tracked.
Can you help me?
Thanks…
April 13, 2011 at 12:00 pm #31159amin007ParticipantOkay thats good.
Which method of integration are you using from the documentation?
April 13, 2011 at 5:15 pm #31160NicMemberSo if I undestook well I have to:
1) create a thank you page on my worpress for downloading my infoproduct
2) create a paypal button whit a link to the thank you page created at point 1)
3) place my new paypal button in the sale letter (also placed in WP)
4) insert my paypal token in WP Platform settings.
All right?
As well when I set paypal to get token code I must write down an url to address clients to after they have payed. Have I to use the url of thank you page in WP or can I put an URL stand alone?
April 13, 2011 at 10:32 pm #31161wpCommerceModeratorThe URL has to be of any WordPress post or page. You can create a “Thank You” page in WordPress and hide that page’s link from the navigation menu. Remember WP Affiliate is a WordPress Plugin. So the plugin only has access to a page that is controlled by WordPress.
Everything you used to do with standalone stuff can now be done with WordPress so when you use WordPress as your Content Management System you should try to move away from the old way of doing things via standalone HTML files.

April 29, 2011 at 1:20 pm #31163NicMemberThanks, Great, it works now!!
But what will happen if I upgrade my wordpress platform? When will the plugin work up to?
Thanks again!!
April 30, 2011 at 3:31 am #31164amin007ParticipantAll of our plugins are kept up to date to work with the latest version of WordPress. So if there is an issue in the future with a particular WordPress version, just know that there will be an update to fix that issue.
May 5, 2011 at 9:42 am #31165NicMemberSo the newest realese will be avaible within word press as upgrade, won’t it?
Will it be free?
Thank you for your kind answer and for the wonderful support!!
May 6, 2011 at 12:10 am #31166amin007ParticipantYes, upgrades are free for our customers. This page will explain how upgrades work:
