Tagged: clicktrough data
Hello,
Can you please let me know if this is normal or if it is a sign that something is not working properly? I have set up a default link in the WP Affiliate settings. This link points to our main website. I have also created a text ad which points to a different page on our site so the affiliates can promote a specific event.
I have done some testing and all clicks on the default affiliate links are tracked and show up in the affiliate center. However, it seems that none of the clicks on the text ad are being tracked even though clicking on those links does put you through to the appropriate page. The clickthrough count just doesn’t change.
Can you please let me know what is going on with this? We are using the most current version of the WP Affiliate plugin.
Thank you!
Nikki Brown
Hi Nikki, Please share content of that affiliate ad banner (the one that is not working correctly) and I will be able to give you more info. To be more specific, what is the target URL for that ad banner?
Hello, The banner ad is referring to this URL: [unleashthebrilliancewithin.com/knowyourtruecalling/]
I have tried it both with and without the http It doesn’t register the clickthroughs either way.
The default URL is [http://www.unleashthebrilliancewithin.com] and those clickthroughs register fine.
Any thoughts?
Nikki B.
I see the issue now, the following URL is not a proper WordPress page or post
[unleashthebrilliancewithin.com/knowyourtruecalling/]
That is not coming from your WordPress system. Is that a standalone HTML page? If it is then read the following post:
If you actually have another WordPress install inside your main install then read the following post:

Thank you! I think that solved my problem.
