Hello,
This is my first time using WP Affiliate Platform. I have followed the Paypal integration instructions very carefully and set up the thank you page, and the Paypal token. I created a test button to try it out and everything seems to work until I actually make the payment. Once I do that, Paypal gives me the following message.
“We are sorry, we are experiencing temporary difficulties. Please try again later. If this error occurred while making a payment, avoid duplicate payments by checking your Account Overview before resending a payment.
For some browsers, this problem can be resolved by clearing or deleting cookies.
Message 3514″
I do not get forwarded on to the thank you page, so there is no affiliate sale recorded.
Also, when I log into my paypal account that I made the purchase from, it shows the test payment was sent but it says it is “unclaimed” When I log into the paypal account that the payment was supposed to go to, there are not payments that have been received.
Do you have any idea what could be causing this problem? It almost looks like a Paypal issue, but I have no idea and I need to make sure the affiliate sales will work and track properly.
Thank you page url is: [http://healthywealthysmart.com/thankyou/]
Affiliate Platform version is 5.4.6
Using a plain Paypal “Buy Now” button. Here is the page to the test button:

If you would like to make a test purchase to see the problem for yourself, I can refund you the cost. All settings are set according to the Affiliate Platform documentation. I did search the form and found very similar things, but nothing exactly like this and no resolution to try.
Thank you for any help you can provide!

You need to contact PayPal and ask them what is going on with your account and mention that you get error message 3414 after a payment is made via the PayPal button. They will be able to fix it for you.
Regarding the payment being in a pending state… This is also an issue with the merchant account which PayPal support will be able to help you with. The following post has some useful info that will help you understand it a little more:

So please get them to fix the issue on your merchant account and then do a test transaction to verify that everything is working correctly.

I’ve used a couple of other affiliate programs before, and am very impressed so far with WP Affiliate Platform. It seems a lot more user friendly to me than some others.
