Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Affiliate Platform › WP Affiliate – amendments to notification emails do not 'sitck'
(NB: I have WP Affiliate setup to manually approve affiliates)
Steps to produce the error:
1. goto WP Affiliate Platform Settings v6.1.9 | Email Settings >> wp-admin/admin.php?page=wp_aff_platform_settings&settings_action=email
2. change the ‘Notification Email Subject’ from ‘Affiliate Account Approved’ to ‘Your New Affiliate Account…’
3. change the ‘Notification Email Body’ from ‘Hi, Your affiliate account has been approved. You can now log into the affiliate portal and start promoting.’ to…
You’re setup and good to go ✅
I did a test in my site and it updates fine.
Do you have the “Send Account Approval Notification” checkbox checked in that settings?
Do you have any kind of caching (specially database caching)?
Yes, I have that checkbox checked.
And no, there is no database caching.
useloom.com/share/314ffa5ca2604423abda6f43bf009ac7 shows what I experience. Hope it helps.

Did you follow my steps exactly?
My developer found the issue… it was the emojis in the email body. When I removed those, the settings saved ok.

The emails only support single octet UTF-8 (ASCII subset) encoding. Emoji are encoded using variable octet UTF-8 encoding.
