WP Account – eMember: Is a WP account necessary for eMember Accounts?

No. eMember can work both ways so the choice is yours. Just uncheck the automatically create wordpress user checkbox. The only reason for why you’d want to create a wordpress user is if you have other plugins that are dependent upon individual wordpress user profiles.

Yes, there is a checkbox for that.
