Wishlist Membership – Renew membership via eStore

We have an annual NON recurring membership. That will expire for a lot of people on 15th of January 2018.

We would like to create a button to offer them to RENEW for one more year.

The integration with WishlistMembership works fine, in the sense that we get people who subscribe.

But how do we handle the RENEW flow?

We want to email them a link to a renew page, but I don’t know how to configure the eStore product to EXTEND the already existing membership in Wishlist with one more year.

I did read this page:

But I was wondering if eStore can bypass that and extend the expiration date?

They just use the same button that they used to signup. Wishlist members is suppose to extend their membership when an existing member pays for the membership again.
