I’ve got a site that I’ve just installed the eStore on that’s been working fine just as a stand alone Wishlist Member site. I’ve also just installed the Affiliate plugin.
So, I’ve done the integration as per here : http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/ecommerce/wordpress-estore-and-wishlist-plugin-integration-448
I setup a product, added a ‘buy now’ button and tried it out using an affiliate link (which I also set up).
The purchase went OK (it appeared) and took me to my thank-you page. But, I didn’t get the sign-up email and the sale wasn’t recorded in eStore.
I checked the logs – nothing in them, went through the troubleshooting guide, set all the permissions and then tried it all again – nothing gets added to the logs and still no sales recorded.
I’ve checked the IPN on PayPal (it goes back to the main site), secret keys and URLs from Wishlist.
Any ideas?
September 13, 2011 at 12:41 am #36519adminKeymasterDebug will reveal the real issue so lets try to get that going. This checklist should help you identify why the debug is not appearing (You do have the debug option enabled in eStore settings right?):

September 13, 2011 at 8:55 am #36520andycalMemberI’ve started that but the logs are empty. I checked all the permissions and they’re fine, clicked on the ‘paypal.php’ file to run and I got this:
[09/12/2011 9:44 AM] – SUCCESS :This debug line was generated because you entered the URL of the ipn handling script in the browser.
So it looks OK. Just tried another payment though, and still nothing.
September 14, 2011 at 12:16 am #36521adminKeymasterPlease do the following two things:
1) Post a link to the page where you have the buy button.
2) Log into your PayPal account then go to the profile section and click the “Instant Payment Notification Preferences”. Check your IPN settings and make sure you have IPN enabled. What value do you have there?
September 14, 2011 at 7:02 pm #36522andycalMemberOK, almost working 100%!! It was the IPN at fault – for some reason (obviously I’d done something wrong) it wasn’t enabled.
So, I did another test using an affiliate link and all seemed to work OK. The sale was registered and the affiliate commission was given – all good. However, when I logged in as the new user, instead of giving me access at the level I bought, it gave me access at a higher level.
I checked the ‘Reference text’ against the product and it matches exactly the SKU of the correct level.
Any ideas?

May 6, 2013 at 12:41 am #36524kerrigoMemberHello, I have wp-affiliate and wishlist installed as well, and it seems like every new member who registers for the member’s area at all is also being registered as an affiliate. I’ve set it up according to the documentation I found online but this is still occurring. Can you help me figure out what is wrong? Thank you!
May 6, 2013 at 11:37 pm #36525adminKeymasterThat means you have enabled the “Automatically Create Affiliate Account” feature from the following settings area:
WP Affiliate Plugin Settings -> WP User Settings
Turn off that option if you don’t want to create affiliate accounts automatically.
