Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP Affiliate Platform › Who gets the credit if there are more than one referring affiliate?
Hi,
Just want to ask on how the affiliate platform works when at least two people (affiliates) referred to my website? Here’s a basic scenario:
I have two affiliates, let’s call them Person A and Person B.
I have one landing page (where the eStore Buy Now button is). My eStore is integrated to my WP Affiliate.
On week 1, Person A referred a prospect (let’s call him Prospect Z) to the landing page. So I assume by this time there is now a cookie in place at Prospect Z’s browser (with reference to Person A).
Now on week 2, Prospect Z clicked on a link of Person B.
In this case, will the cookie of Person A be overwritten by Person B?
If the person purchased on Week 3, who gets the sales credit? Will it be the first affiliate (Person A) or the last affiliate (Person ?
This is assuming both cookie life is not yet expired.
Please let me know. Thanks.
