I love the Photo Seller plugin so far. I’m ready to test purchases but I can’t find the setting to turn the PayPal sandbox test mode on. According to the documentation there should be a Testing and Debugging dropdown menu somewhere.Unfortunately the documentation fails to show where that is. I have looked everywhere, why can’t I see it?

How to I start testing with the PayPal sandbox?

    Thanks.

To test in sandbox mode go to the Settings->Testing and Debugging section.

There you will see a drop down box called “PayPal Test Mode On”.

OK, found it. That was NOT there yesterday when I activated the plugin.

    Thanks.

The sandbox testing mode is built into the photo seller plugin.

All you need to do is get a PayPal sandbox test account:

Just a word of advice…. the PayPal sandbox account setup can be quite complex for non-developers. Your sandbox account and the live account are totally different (they don’t share any details). You can do all the sandbox testing and still have problems with your live account setup.

So it is better for you to do a live transaction to test. Later you can refund that transaction. If the live one works then you know that you are good to go.

The following is a good read:
