Hi, I’m creating an online instruction website.. I have a Hosting domain already.. I’m wondering where I put my digital content to get the links from.. in the tutorial video it was stated that the author had placed them in the “Download Directory” of the e store plug in..

However,.. I don’t know where that is.. Any suggestions? Would I create a folder on my site outside of wordpress to link it from there?.. What the best way.. as my hosting gives me unlimited bandwidth.. It would be a waste to store it elsewhere..

    Thanks

    Chris

You upload the content to your server (there is a file upload option in the “Digital Product URL” field). You can also use the WordPress’s media uploader to upload a digital file to your server. If you are using a local install then you won’t be able to get a URL until you install it on your actual server.

Digital content can be stored in any directory that is at, or beneath, your server’s document root directory. Although you can store the files in eStore’s “downloads” directory, this is not a recommended practice; because you might accidentally delete them when upgrading the plugin.
