Tagged: SSL forces login
The issue I’m having is that I have installed an SSL certificate on a new website (Hostgator Business Account). I have set the site and URL WordPress settings to [https://mydomainname.com] as instructed by Hostgator tech support. My problem is that every time I try to access a protected page (after having logged in with the correct account) I am asked to login again to view the desired page. I have checked the permissions of the user and the manage content settings. I have stripped the site down to the bare bones. There are no other plugins installed so it’s not a conflict issue.
Additionally, the problem only exists with pages protected via emember. I have tested a “Private” page and can access it as long as I don’t protect it with emember. Also, I have no issues accessing the admin pages. So, it is not a cookie issue with the browser.
Please provide an email address and I will send you the login information to the site. The site is completely provide so I will not post any of that info here.
I am using the latest WordPress and WP emember plugin (8.8.1) versions.
To duplicate the issue, login and click on any link to a protected page.
Thanks!
Can you give me the login page URL of your site and a test member account details so I can do some checking?
Please provide an email address and I will send you the login information to the site. The site is private so I will not post any of that info here. Actually, I am sending the info to Ivy as we speak.
If you have sent it to Ivy thats good enough. I will get it from there.
