I recently had your team look at our site due to new user registration failing (said email address already existed when it didn’t).

It turns out that the issue was a Facebook plugin we were using to integrate into the site (caused a double post of the reg form).

So in our continuing efforts to find a way to integrate with FB I was digging around and found several files in the new release specifically related to this, BUT they’re disabled due to being under development.

We need this functionality – since you’re already working on it – two questions:

    1. Can we get a pre-release version for testing

    2. Final release date for it?

I don’t want to get your hopes up but we have a plan to get something ready within 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks for the update…please ping me directly when ready – even if just for a test.

Is there any way I could perhaps “grease the skids” to get it out earlier? Maybe a private pre-release?

Can you give me a scenario of how you were using the facebook option on your site? We have a scenario in mind but we are collecting information from users to better understand the need for this feature.

We actually had to go with another membership plugin due to timing since FB support was already built-in.

Our goals were to simply associate an FB with a member account so that when they took action on our site it would post to FB.

My take is this – wp-emember is a simple and very effective membership plugin, so if we didn’t need the tight FB integration we’d be using it. Adding FB support for things like these would only solidify you in the market:

    – FB like credits

    – FB like gateway

    – Associate FB acct with member acct

    – more
