I have two separate clients wanting online membership management for their societies. Both clients have some customers who pay by standing order and some who pay via PayPal. Members are all at varying points in their annual subscription. Could anyone advise me what is the best way to:
a) create accounts for all the members and get them to take ownership of them (i.e. how do they get a username and password)
b) manage the subscriptions of the people who don’t pay via Paypal.
In both cases there are custom fields associated with each member.
Advice gratefully received.
How many members are we talking about?
About 2500 on one website and about 300 on the other.
If they are WP users then the following is the best option:

The other alternative is to use CSV file import:

In terms of the subscription PayPal payments, there is no super easy way to do this. Our plugin is designed to handle everything on its own when you start fresh. So I will need more info from you to determine the best option.
Are you using an offline membership system at the moment? How do you handle the membership renewal?
