Hi, and please me excuse me if I’m missing something really obvious, searched the forum and couldn’t find the answer, nor could I find it in the “how to set up” page.
After setting up revenue share with the author, set it to 50/50, I set the price to .02 and bought the product. I got both .02. What is revenue share supposed to do after the sale?
I thought initially that I could set it up for automatic payment but I don’t see that.
I also don’t even see a report telling me that I owe the author anything.. what am I missing here?
February 27, 2014 at 12:23 am #61143wzpModeratorJust to confirm, you have read the following documentation correct?
Do you also have the Affiliate Platform plugin installed? And have you familiarized yourself with it?
The report will come from the affiliate plugin. When you log into the account in question, you can see who gets how much. The manage payout menu in your admin dashboard also tells you how much you need to pay.
February 27, 2014 at 5:01 pm #61144LuciMemberThank you very much. Yes, I have read the documents and the author is set up in the affiliate platform. I have her in as 50/50 in the revenue sharing section. I ran a test (for 2cents) and I got both.
After taking a look at the payout menu it didn’t have anything for her. She does not see anything on her affiliate dashboard. Does it not register pennies?
Also, is it supposed to take money out of my payment automatically for her, or is this just something I’m supposed to do on my own?
February 27, 2014 at 11:23 pm #61145wpCommerceModerator@Luci, can you please enable debug in the eStore settings and run another transaction so we can see if the transaction is completing correctly?

February 28, 2014 at 9:42 pm #61146LuciMemberOK. I did that, as per your request. I got reference that I sold the product.
Nothing shows up for her when I run a report for “manage payouts”.
The thing is, she’s an affiliate but we’re just using the revenue sharing option here. I’m not quite sure what I’m supposed to see with the revenue sharing enabled, or where I’m supposed to look.
Also, Paypal IPN is enabled but I don’t have a URL in there because I don’t know where I would get one. (I’m not a developer, just trying to sell my class online so need a little hand holding here).
February 28, 2014 at 10:59 pm #61147wpCommerceModeratorI checked the log files. They are empty. So we will need to take a closer look at your site to see what is happening. I have sent an email to your registered email address for site access. Let me know if you don’t receive it.
You don’t need to provide a URL for ipn. eStore will tell PayPal where to send it during checkout. You just need to have IPN enabled in your PayPal account. For more information please see this post:
