Really like the WP-estore plugin. Perfect choice for our non-profit. We sell books, etc. and need to use the WEIGHT BASED SHIPPING capability with Paypal. The buyer gets asked for the zip code so we know that works.
The calculation works fine for QUANTITY based shipping. Having problems with WEIGHT based shipping. Always calculates as $0 regardless of the zip code and the weight I enter in the product description.
We have a shipping table setup (called Priority) which applies the same cost to all states in US. Each product has an assigned weight in pounds.
Have been testing with the book products (as they are the heaviest). It seems the weight is not getting to Paypal – or could there be something else causing the problem?
Help. Thanks
Hi, Could you provide a link to the page in question? I believe you will need to disable your “Quantity” based calculation. Otherwise it might take precedence over weight. Please make sure that the shipping is calculated based on “weight” and “zip code”.
Thanks. See ORDER ONLINE at [www.testachi.com]
That is our test system.
There is only one PayPal profile that is defined. It is weight and ALL STATES.
System works great when I use PayPal Quantity based profile.
Somehow it looks like the weight is coming across as 0. I have changed the weights of the books to 100 and still NG.
Tried ordering 100 books which would make it very heavy and still calculates as 0.
You have the profile based shipping option enabled in the plugin settings correct?
Is there a Weight based shipping Addon just like the Amount based shipping one?
I would like to show the total shipping $amount as a line item in the shopping cart based on the total weight from the Shipping & Tax > Optional Product Details and pass this to PayPal rather than use PayPal’s Shipping Profile.
Unfortunately no.
