Hi, I would like to know if I can apply WP Photo seller’s watermark feature to all my images on my site ?
or Do all my images have to be in Wp Photo galleries and for sale?
Can it be applied to other images on my site i.e. The default media for Posts, WP media library, Projects etc
I am using Virtue Premium Theme.
Thankyou.
The photo seller plugin will only watermark images that belongs to that plugin’s gallery.
If you want to create a normal photo gallery (not for selling), then use a plugin like the following (the gallery plugin lets you watermark images also):
Currently the photo seller plugin will only watermark images which are considered to be part of a “photo seller” gallery.
Sounds like you’re after a generic watermarking utility which can be used site-wide and the photo seller plugin currently doesn’t have that.
The workaround you can do is the following:
1) assign the images which you want watermarked to a dummy gallery and set the watermark settings as you wish
2) Initiate the watermarking process by visiting the dummy gallery. This will create a bunch of files in the “uploads/wp_photo_seller/<gallery_id>” directory with the prefix “watermark_”.
3) If the images you want watermarked are part of a post, you will then need to get these into the WP media library.
FTP the watermarked images to your computer and then upload them to wordpress via the media loader in the Media menu.
Now you will have watermarked images which are in the WP media library and which you can insert into posts etc.
Hey Moderator,
Yes I already had the photo seller plugin and could not achieve what I was after.
However I did as you said and made a dummy gallery and then copied the watermarked images over to existing posts with images, after previewing it in a browser. Worked like a charm.
Excellent.
Thanks heaps.
