Hi there,
I want to display products using checkboxes. Then the use can just put a check beside all the items they want and they get added to the cart at the same time. Is this possible?
June 6, 2012 at 1:07 pm #45895wzpModeratorCurrently, not. But I can certainly see the practicality of having such a feature; when using eStore on a mobile device (cellphone). Could you please formally add this suggestion to the eStore Wishlist?

June 7, 2012 at 4:52 am #45896adminKeymasterWe just released a bulk item purchase addon for eStore that might help. Let me know if this eStore addon will do:

February 6, 2013 at 4:50 pm #45898goldstriknParticipantHello,
The bulk order addon plugin looks like it will work for me. But, I would like to have actual checkboxes (at least for my store). I already have predefined prices and sell digital download, since they’re digital, they’ll always be qty 1 to select. So, I want to know if there is a way to just place a small checkbox below or next to product description and user can just click the checkbox and then add what they selected in the cart. Please advise if there is a mod to do on this plugin in order to accomplish this.
thanks
February 6, 2013 at 5:05 pm #45899morleyMemberWe have a similar setup, and the ability to add to cart using checkboxes would be an excellent addition. Ideally, a customer would be able to either hit the individual add-to-cart button for the particular product, or check all the products that he/she wished to purchase and click on a global add button to put them all in the cart. I added this request to the following page last year:

February 7, 2013 at 12:45 am #45900adminKeymasterIf we get enough requests from users we will make that change. This post has more explanation:
Alternatively, use this to get a custom job done if it is urgent for you:
February 10, 2013 at 11:38 pm #45901goldstriknParticipantAdmin, I have a question in regards to the wording of the price. Every item price shows as “Only $xx.xx”. I would like to omit the word Only. How do I do that? what file do I edit?
February 11, 2013 at 10:46 pm #45902adminKeymasterI had one other customer ask that same question too. I think that addon looks better without the “only” label. So I went ahead and made the change in the addon. Please download a new copy of the addon and you won’t see that “only” text anymore.
February 12, 2013 at 12:45 pm #45903goldstriknParticipantThanks for the update admin, I’ll check it out soon. If I may, I have another question in regards to items from the bulk price placed in cart.
Any time I place products in the cart from the bulk pricing shortcode they’re held in the cart, which is good. But, if I go back to place additional item in cart from bulk pricing products, then my old cart items are gone (items/products from the bulk pricing form). I would like to know if this is normal behavior or a bad set up from my end.
These are the shortcodes I’m using: [wp_eStore_bulk_item_purchase cat_id=1][wp_eStore_display_compact_cart4]
February 12, 2013 at 5:35 pm #45904morleyMemberWhen we experimented with that addon a while back, I noticed the same behavior. It doesn’t add new products on top of the ones currently in the cart; it replaces them. I mentioned this in that feature request post as well.
February 13, 2013 at 4:42 am #45905adminKeymasterThis addon was created by one of our customers so I am not entirely sure what his reasoning was behind making it so that the full selection from the bulk addition replaces/overwrites any existing cart items.
I have changed this behavior so it will add to existing items rather than replacing it. Please download a new version of the bulk item purchase addon to see the change.
February 28, 2013 at 4:19 am #45906goldstriknParticipantThe addon works great though, I wish in a near future for checkboxes. I have a question how do I edit the estore-bulk-item-purchase.php to place a nice custom “add to cart” button?. The generic button that is from this addon is not appealing and would like a better option.
thanks for your great support.
March 1, 2013 at 3:08 am #45907adminKeymasterYou could use some custom CSS to customize that button but I agree that having the ability to use an image for that button would be good. I added an additional parameter in the shortcode that you can use to specify a custom image for that button.
This is how you can use the shortcode to specify a custom button image:
[wp_eStore_bulk_item_purchase cat_id=1 button_image="www.example.com/custom-button"]
March 1, 2013 at 3:44 am #45908goldstriknParticipanti just downloaded the new version 1.5 for eStore-bulk-item-purchase and the button that I want shows it, great. BUT, when I place a number to select the item and press the button, the items are not placed in cart. The button pressed has no effect, no items are placed in cart. Can you revise? I reverted to version 1.4 until I read from you.
Thanks.
