Tagged: Cart Button, shopping cart, view cart
When customers add an item to the shopping cart a box comes up saying view cart or continue shopping. Once continue shopping is selected there is then no option available to go to cart and the only way to get to the cart is by adding another item to the cart to get that same box to appear.
Is there a way to add a view cart button at all times when shopping?
This thread will answer your question:

I really think this could be designed better! I dont want a view cart in my side bars or footer widgets and i really dont like the idea of it in my menu.It should be made available after adding to the cart throughout the rest of the browsing like the view gallery button thats next to the add cart there should be a view cart option!!!!
Thanks for the suggestion. We will look into adding an option for what you described.
Hi Peter, was this button ever created? Like a “View Cart” button next to the current “View Gallery” button? I have no way to get into the cart either, as it is now. I am going to try to add that cart info to the menu or a widget like the referenced link instructs above, but I am finding the average user only notices really obvious things like a big well labelled button and I need this ordering system to work for maybe even a below average user. lol.
A button would indeed be very appreciated and helpful. Though I don’t know that so many exclamation points are necessary in the request. !!!!!!! Please let me know if this is already created and I missed it in the search, or if it can be added with code somewhere. Thank you!
The thread linked above did create a viewable cart in the sidebar, which works well enough. Do let me know if you ended up creating a button though.
