Hi
I am using Vimeo Pro and have followed the embed instructions. The Lighbox with the Video is not opening up when I click the thumbnail image, it just links through to the actual Vimeo Video page.
Here is the URL of the page it is on. It’s the smaller thumbnail image at the bottom of the page.
http://www.kathykaehler.net/club/video-clips/
Here is the shortcode I am using.
[wp_lightbox_fancybox_vimeo_video link=”https://vimeo.com/44589229″ title=”Undercover Tape Girls” source=”http://d28zmhuwde7pks.cloudfront.net/club/wp-content/themes/kk-theme/common/images/thumb06-4m.png”%5D
I also tried the Pretty Photo version and get the same result.
Thanks for the help.
June 28, 2012 at 1:25 am #46508wpCommerceModeratorHi, Does your theme have footer? Lightbox Ultimate plugin includes some additional JavaScript codes in the footer so it doesn’t affect your page load time.
Please take a look at the following post. It will help you understand the issue.
June 28, 2012 at 2:15 am #46509razormicroMemberHi, thanks for the reply. Yes, there is a footer file although it is NOT named <?php wp_footer(); ?> but rather <?php include(‘footer-front.php’); ?> – does the naming make a difference?
What additional JavaScript codes in the footer are required as I could not see any related to Lightbox Ultimate.
Thanks

Here is the page: http://www.razormicromedia.com/blog/sample-page/
Here is the shortcode embedded on that page for the Vimeo Pro Video: [wp_lightbox_fancybox_anchor_text_vimeo_video link=”https://vimeo.com/44589229″ title=”The Undercover Tape Girls” text=”Click here to open the Vimeo Video”]
and as a test I also embedded a regular Vimeo.com video:
[wp_lightbox_fancybox_anchor_text_vimeo_video link=”http://vimeo.com/44446467″ title=”Snow White & The Huntsman” text=”Click here to open the Standard Vimeo.com Video”]
When the link for the Vimeo Pro Video is clicked, it starts to open a lightbox but then just does the same thing and goes to the video page itself.
However, the regular Vimeo.com video opens up the Lightbox and plays as it should.
CONCLUSION: there must be some sort of Vimeo Pro setting that is needed to display correctly. As Vimeo Pro is becoming very popular, I am certainly not the only one experiencing this. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.
June 29, 2012 at 12:28 am #46511wpCommerceModeratorHi, The URL you’ve specified for vimeo pro video looks correct. But is it a private video?
When I manually tried to access this page – https://vimeo.com/44589229 I received a 404 error.
June 29, 2012 at 5:08 am #46512amanceMemberFYI the nature of vimeo “pro” is to have the videos private so commercial content that pro user upload does not get into the social site of vimeo.
I know they have api’s for this that you would have to work with but currently I am using the embed code from the vimeo pro to work with this
June 29, 2012 at 4:57 pm #46513razormicroMemberHi, thanks for the replies. Yes, amance you are totally correct regarding the purpose of vimeo pro is for commercial content.
amance, is there specific Vimeo Pro settings that you use, possibly under the Privacy Tab that you could please help me with, thanks.
June 29, 2012 at 5:12 pm #46514razormicroMemberOK, I have now figured out the issue so just sharing my findings. It’s not a Vimeo Pro setting but rather the Vimeo Pro video URL to the video. Unlike the regular vimeo.com where you just copy and paste the video URL from the browser address bar (like in teh video tutorial), in Vimeo Pro you need to use the URL from the Embed code which includes the video player.
For example instead of me initially incorrectly using https://vimeo.com/44589229, I should have been using http://player.vimeo.com/video/44589229 (copies from the embed code).
Thanks again to those who gave input.
