Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eMember › Using WP eMember with bbpress – doubt
Hi:
I want to create a bbPress forum on my site whereby people cannot register on their own. I will register users and give them their credentials to use this forum.
Because I want to keep the members of this forum separate from my WordPress site users I wanted to use WP eMember (with a free membership level to protect this bbPress forum). That way when I add members to the WP eMember, they will form a separate list from my WordPress user list.
1. My problem is that if I mark my forum as accessible only to my free membership level (via WP eMember) people cannot see the forum at all, and therefore they won’t get attracted to want to register. Is there way to show the forum to people but only allow them to participate if they are registered via WP eMember?
2. Also since I want the forum to be full width layout, I plan to put the WP eMember login page link on my site’s top menu, so people can click to login or logout. Would this be the right way to go? (Instead of using the sidebar widget)
3. Finally, since my site is on AMP now will everything that I plan to use on WP eMember be okay to work with AMP?
Thanks for your help,
Regards,
