We are a very small non-profit where every cent counts, so we are trying to give donors the option to cover the PayPal fees if they choose (and most do). However, the only way to get this option to appear on the checkout screen is by using PayPal’s Donor Button or Donor Button link. (Here is a button example: https://www.arlingtonsepta.org/testing-page/)
I cannot figure out a way to get donors to pay through PayPal’s Donate links AND communicate back to eStore/eMember on the backend. Is there a way to lead each product to a specific PayPal checkout page and get the product’s email notifications to work?
(Using the donate shortcode does not lead us to the checkout screen with the donor paid fee option.)
What do you mean by “Donor Paid Fee” option??? Please include an example.
Sorry wasn’t clear. If you click on the donate button in the link above you will see it on the PayPal pop up. PayPal provides a checkbox to allow the donor to choose to cover the transaction fee and adds the fee to their donation.
I don’t think we support that feature, so I’ll run it by the developer.
Per the developer, that PayPal feature is not supported.
