I am using WP eStore on a site I’m developing in a sandbox environment (on the Web, not local). In a few weeks, I will be exporting the site to its public address via BackupBuddy.
After the launch of the public site, I will want to have WP eStore live and active on both the sandbox and public sites, so that I can test changes and eStore updates on the sandbox before implementing them on the public site.
What is the best protocol for ensuring a smooth transition and having eStore available on both the sandbox and public sites? Will I need to purchase another eStore license to do so? (Not opposed to doing so, just asking.) And are there any settings to which I will need to be particularly mindful during the launch?
Thanks in advance for your help.
The following post will explain more about moving our plugins from site to site.
Products and Customers lost (but not Settings) after moving from local PC
The eStore is an multi-site license so you can use it on as many sites as you own and operate.
After the move make sure to do a deactivate/reactivate of the plugin. This syncs up the databases. And fully test the plugin after the move to make sure everything is working properly.
Also, have a look at this post which will help you setup your test environment:
Thanks much.
