Using Amazon S3

Good day!

I have a quick question for you. Is it possible to pull the downloads for digital products through the amazon s3 services?

I’d like to be able to save bandwidth, so, I’d like to have them pushed over to the amazon s3 service (transparently of course) and pull it from an expiring link.

Any thoughts? I’d be willing to contribute to the the development of this financially.

@fthomas137, Yes this is possible.. the file can be stored anywhere on the web as long as it’s accessible. Some people like to keep the file on a storage site to save bandwidth which is fine.

When pulling from a3, will it pass through the web server or just pass directly to the user?

Frank – Did you ever find a resolution to this? The only way I’ve found to use S3 exposes the URL to the end user.
