Hi,
I was just checking the Members list in WP eMember as I had a user email saying they couldn’t log in. Checking the system, I noticed that in some cases there are no Usernames associated with the Member. This would suggest that in some cases it’s possible to register without adding this – surely this is a required field?
I’m currently using WP eMember v7.5.3.
Cheers,
Zain
“I noticed that in some cases there are no Usernames associated with the Member” – This simply means that this user made a membership payment or filled out an email confirmation form but haven’t completed the registration yet. The member account will only be activated after they complete the registration by clicking on the link sent to their email address.
You can resend (if needed) the registration completion prompt for a particular user from the “Admin Functions” menu of the plugin.
Hi Admin,
I’ve now found the resend function for the registration completion and sent it to the user.
While this is useful, here’s a suggestion to help improve this system (and reduce time for Admins):
When the user tries to use the “Forgot Password” option, the system checks to see if they have an associated username (or if it’s blank) and either sends them their User details, or a re-registration completion email.
The reason I’m suggesting this is because, looking through the members, there’s quite a lot of “blank” username entries. Potentially, this could mean quite a lot of users re-requesting a completion emails in future. That’s quite a bit of logging in and out of the system.
It would be great if this could be automated in someway, as this would really help Admins out.
Cheers,
Zain
There is one option in the “Admin Functions” where you can click one button and it will resend the “Registration Completion” email again to everyone who needs it. I will also look into your proposal… it sounds like a good option to add.
Yup – I found the one click button, very handy!
Keep up the great work! You guys rock!
