I bought e-store+eMember and I want to add functionality as below:-
I am selling services, and wish to create user specific client area where I can upload client’s work after completion and client can download his report by logging into member area.
I know eMember has an option to protect pages based on member id so only that member can see the protected page. But I am not able to find that option. Also please let me know how specific user can see that page automatically after he/she login into his account.
February 24, 2012 at 12:48 am #42239adminKeymasterThis post will show you how you can protect post or page for a specific member (check the “Section Protection for a Specific Member” section):
http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com/wordpress-membership/how-to-protect-a-section-of-a-post-or-page-88
Basically, you place all the content of that page or post inside the following shortcode:
[emember_protected member_id=1]
Whatever content goes here is only viewable by a member whos Member ID is 1.
[/emember_protected]We don’t have an after login redirection for a specific member yet (we only have it for membership level and a global one at the moment) but we are adding a member specific after login redirection in the plugin (this should be done in a day or two).
February 24, 2012 at 1:05 am #42240AmtushMemberMany Thanks, that will solve my problem. Waiting for the added “member specific after login redirection” feature.
Once again, thanks for providing such a great support
February 26, 2012 at 12:32 am #42241adminKeymasterMember specific after login redirection page feature has been added to the plugin. You can now specify an after login redirection page for each member by editing a member’s profile and adding an URL in the “After Login Page URL” field.
Please get a new build of the plugin from here if you do not see the above mentioned field:
March 30, 2012 at 6:52 am #42242AmtushMemberThanks and tried just now. When client login from their specified login page where we have placed [wp_eMember_login], it redirects them to the mentioned page.
But when client log in from the compact widget, it does not work. It redirects them to homepage after login.
I think it need a fix.
Thanks
March 30, 2012 at 11:30 pm #42243adminKeymasterCan you please tell me which shortcode or function you are using for this compact widget that you are referring to?
April 3, 2012 at 6:57 pm #42244AmtushMemberThanks, I am using [wp_eMember_compact_login]
April 4, 2012 at 4:01 am #42245adminKeymasterThank you. Are you using the Fancy login feature? The option that pops up the login widget?
April 4, 2012 at 3:58 pm #42246AmtushMemberYes, I am using fancy widget
April 5, 2012 at 6:41 am #42247adminKeymasterOkay the after login redirection with the fancy login had an issue. Please get a new build of eMember now (we addressed this after login redirection with the fancy login feature).
April 5, 2012 at 9:14 pm #42248AmtushMemberThank you. The new build does redirect you to the specified pages, if mentioned under setting tab.
However when you have redirect page over specific member profile, it does not work
April 6, 2012 at 5:43 am #42249adminKeymasterOkay let me check… the profile specific redirect is probably not available in the fancy login yet. I will add that too.
April 8, 2012 at 10:22 am #42250AmtushMemberThanks, that will be great.
April 9, 2012 at 12:43 am #42251adminKeymasterWe have added the profile specific after login redirect to fancy login.
