User Dashboard and other issues

Kindly clarify if Estore has a user dashboard which is a customer dedicated page where they can see and manage their subscriptions.

How can I use this plugin to sell podcast, which will not be based on subscribers downloading the episodes. The podcast will be for streaming and listening only. Can a dashboard be created which will list all the podcasts a particular subscriber has bought?

“Subscriptions,” otherwise known as “recurring payments” are managed by the payment gateways (PayPal, et al) and not by the plugin.

Can a dashboard be created which will list all the podcasts a particular subscriber has bought?

There are 2 possible approaches to this:

• If you are selling one-off podcast downloads, you can use the Self Re-Download Digital Products addon, to allow buyers to download specific podcasts, that they have purchased.
   
• If you are selling access to a dynamically changing/updated collection/subscription of podcasts, you can:
  1. Create a membership site using eMember.
      
  2. Sell access to podcast collections/subscriptions, using multiple membership levels, where each membership level corresponds to a specific podcast collection/subscription.
      
  3. Place download links on the content pages that are specific to each membership level.

Thanks so much for the response. However, the issues I raised are not clearly clarified. Kindly permit me give one or two examples. Let’s imagine I sell pay per views in which I give the purchasers lifetime access to pages or post where they can stream ONLY, NOT DOWNLOAD, premium podcast, does Estore offer any User Dashboard where they can see all the post they have subscribed to? This will be an alternative to searching through individual emails they received upon purchase every time they want to click on the link.

Secondly, can the link sent upon purchase be a STREAM ONLY and NOT DOWNLOAD link?

The concept of a “user dashboard” is a site UI issue. You can implement that, using the tools we provide.

You must use an eStore feature called Authenticated Page Redirect (APR). Users will be redirected to a protected page, where you can have the streaming content.

The “tools” are the shortcodes available through the plugins. You must use combinations of shortcodes and WordPress page design elements to create the desired “dashboard page” effect you desire. If you are having difficulty with your site design, you can either hire a WordPress site designer of your choice; or request a custom work order quote, and a developer will get back with you.

WP eStore doesn’t have any concept of users since it offers quick anonymous checkout. A customer purchase an item, he/she gets the digital download (or access to the page) right there and then. That’s the end of the transaction.

You can also use the following addon to create a page where your customers can go and re-download the items (at a later time) that they have purchased:

If you are thinking of creating a user account type setup then you will need a membership type setup. Are you using our WP eMember plugin?

Am not using E-member yet. I have one or two membership plugins, but I discovered what I really want is recurring monthly automatic subscriptions and not memberships that gives access to every product in a particular membership level.
