Tagged: encrypted password, importing password, password
This is getting so complicated for a relatively simple concept.
I need to have a login function (username and PW) to allow users to
access a PDF file.
There are over 800 users with existing passwords and usernames that I
need to import and use for the login verification.
I don’t really need a full blown membership plugin- it more than I
would need but I did install WP eMember – it looked perfect.
The problem is that I can’t import the passwords as they must be
encoded, I tried encrypting them with MD5 encryption tool I found online and using that in the field
with no luck.
Also must usernames be unique as well? As I don’t think they are with the data I would be uploading.
Any suggestions on how I could possibly make this function work with WP eMember would be greatly appreciated!
THank you!
