Hi,
I have been using WP estore within Facebook tabs and, as you likely know, Facebook has recently changed the Pages layout. For some reason with the new layout not all of the short codes work properly.
For example “add to cart” and “cart when not empty” work fine but if I add a “fancy ID” short code the image and description show but it is not formatted as it would appear on a regular WP page. Furthermore, when using the product variation options none of the options show?
Here is an example. On this page I tried using a “fancy” put it did not work so I just laid the images out manually and put the description and “add to cart” underneath. https://www.facebook.com/tomtaylormusic/app_100271156745897
Any ideas?
PS I am using a plug-in called “Facebook Tab manager” to embed WP into Facebook pages
We don’t have any integration option like you described so no idea what could be wrong with the custom solution that you were using.
The preferred option for selling products from outside of your WordPress site is to use the purchase via a text link feature (you can post the text link on external sites like facebook, twitter etc).
Alos, if you can use HTML code rather than a shortcode then I would recommend using the technique mentioned in the 4th point in the following page:
