Hi,
Is it possible to use the profile picture that members can upload via their eMember profiles to overwrite the WordPress default option? I have BBPress installed and even though it’s integrated with eMember, the forums still show the default WordPress avatars?
I only want my members to be able to edit their eMember profiles.
If anyone has a solution for this that would be brilliant.
Thanks

Gravatar does not work how you may think it does. The gravatar image comes from the online gravatar account where eMember has no way of uploading an image to or modify that account. But you can tell eMember to use the user’s gravatar image as the profile picture. Simply enable the following feature from eMember’s settings:
Use Gravatar Image in Profile
eMember can use the gravater image of a user based on the email address he is using for the member account.
Hi admin,
Thanks for clearing that up, can I ask why eMember has the option to upload a profile picture?
And just to clarify if a member of my website would like a avatar they have to sign up for an online gravatar account?
I might try find a solution via BBPress, I’m sure they should be able to provide an option to allow BBPress users the choice to change their avatar profile pic.
Many thanks
Mark
