MemberHi there,
I am using URL shorten as here:
some of my customer used to complain the download links are not generated. It’s like only some are generated.
I then use PayPal sandbox function, add 20 items to shopping cart and check it out.
True enough… download links were only generated for the fist 7 items. The remaining 13 items’ are not generated.
I then request the updated version and reinstall the plugin again.
Add 20 items and check it out. This time no url shortened.
All the download links of 20 items are generated as encrypted download link.
I then change it to url shorten format, add the 20 items and check it out again.
This time, as used to be, only a few of shorted url were generated.
By observing this, I am sure, Google Url Shorten has an issue.
Please advice.

KeymasterThe URL shortener feature relies on a 3rd party site (Google URL Shortener Service) so it is possible that Google is blocking certain requests from your site. Have you done this already?

MemberHello,
Thanks for responding.
Yes, I have updated it already.
Just check, is there a script customizing service that cloak download url or replace with anchor text, like CLICK HERE.

KeymasterIn the email or on the “Thank You” page? Not sure why you need to cloak an encrypted link (these links expire so there is really no need to hide/cloak them… that’s the whole point of using an expiring link).

MemberJust on Thank You page. it’s for the sake of neat and tidy look. Encrypted link looks ugly and scary.
