Tips and Tricks HQ Support Portal › Forums › WP eStore Forum › WP eStore Troubleshooting › Urgent: Large files-0kb problem again, just before launch
Hi!
I’ve been very satisfied with estore throughout the whole testing phase. Everything worked fine after your support changed some things (site access request) in my wp after the first time this 0kb-issue occurred.
But yesterday, the sunday before the launch my programmer had to change some db entries manually and after that estore automatically did a full reset. We had a recent db-backup but that didn’t bring back the fix you made and we just can’t find what you were doing.
This is the thread where you helped me last time:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/forums/topic/link-emcryption-destroys-larger-files
please ask for a site access request again and have a look at the problem, maybe you still know what you did last time (and maybe can tell us, so if this should ever happen again, we can fix it ourselves)
It’s really urgent, we already lost our very first customer due to this problem, and hope very much that you can help us as soon as possible.
Best wishes,
Charles
In the meantime, if your version is less than 4.7.x, please consider an upgrade:
I am confident that if you get a recent build of eStore then try one of the 7 download methods, you will find one that will work for your server configuration. This post will explain the download methods that I am talking about:
WP eStore Download Methods – Change Encrypted Download Methods
Let me know how you go.
Hi!
Everything is working fine now.. The update solved the problem, although it took a lot of time to integrate the changes we had made to the plugin.
Cheers!
Warning — Running With Scissors Ahead…
If you are a *nix freak, you may want to consider keeping a DIFF log of all your changes. Them whenever you update the plugin you’d simply run the changes back through SED.
