Tagged: admin, estore, gui, media library
The only thing keeping me from using eStore for a particular client’s site is that they can’t get the idea of uploading images & downloadable products in the Media Library & then copy/paste the URL into eStore. Also, they use ‘digital product variation’ (eBooks by language) & it would be great if the gui allowed them to choose the files (point & click) vs. having to “code” using pipes, absolute URLs, etc.
Would it be possible / are there plans for GUI update that could include this functionality? It could be as simple as a button that interfaces with the Media Library to upload and/or choose files there. I think it would make your suite of plugins even more accessible to clients who want a simple solution.
Your plugins are so well written, the documentation is outstanding & the support is incredible. I have temporarily switched over to WP eCommerce on this particular site for the ease of adding/managing products (the GUI stuff), but it’s sooo buggy & the support is practically non-existant. I’d love to be able to switch back to eStore.
Fair enough… I will look into it.
Any idea if/when this feature will be added?
I am adding the option to upload the file for the main downloadable file when you configure the product. This is scheduled to go into the patch that I will be releasing on the 6th June.
This feature didn’t get priority before because you can upload everything using the “WordPress Media Uploader”.
Cool! Will the upload functionality work for digital product variations too?
Appreciate the fantastic support here!
