When I try to upload PDF Stamper I get this error message:
The uploaded file could not be moved to /home/users/web/b1231/myserver/myfolder/wp-content/uploads/2012/03.
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator, cgiadmin@yourhostingaccount.com and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.

I’ve tried working with my hosting provider (fat cow) but they say everything checks out ok and that I shouldn’t be able to get this error. I was able to upload and install estore, affiliate platform, and the minimum resquirements checker for PDF stamper (result = ok fine. What’s different about the PDF Stamper plugin that’s resulting in this error?
March 25, 2012 at 12:37 am #43364adminKeymasterThe PDF Stamper is larger in size (about 2MB). Looks like your server’s configuration is set to a file upload limit of around 2MB. So when you are uploading it via the WP Plugin uploader the upload limit or a file permission issue on this server is preventing it from being uploaded correctly.
You can use a FTP program (example: FileZilla) to upload the plugin via FTP to get around this issue. Anyway, there is definitely some issue around the *setting of default file permission” on this server so I would recommend you take care of those.

“Anyway, there is definitely some issue around the *setting of default file permission” on this server so I would recommend you take care of those.”
Thanks
March 26, 2012 at 5:46 am #43366adminKeymasterWhen you see the following two errors when uploading a file via WordPress plugin uploader it usually indicates that there is file/folder permission issue on this server. WordPress is suppose to run as the “root” user who should never encounter an error like the following:
1. The uploaded file could not be moved to [path to the file]
2. The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.March 27, 2012 at 12:11 pm #43367kairosMemberThe wordpress installation for this site isn’t on the root it’s in a sub-directory. Is that causing the problem or can wordpress still run as the root user from a sub-directory?
My hosting provider keeps telling me that they can’t find a problem and can’t replicate the issue. What specific instructions can I give them to fix this?
Thanks for your help!
March 27, 2012 at 11:11 pm #43368adminKeymasterNope, a sub-directory install shouldn’t cause problems like this. This type of issue usually arises from the PHP selector that is being used on this server. Anyway, your provider says not to worry about it so don’t worry about it for now.
