Not sure this is a known issue.
Just a pointer that when running WP in Debug mode there are “Undefined index” messages all over the place in the eStore admin panel. To the point that even the text fields are partially filled with error messages.
Everything seems to work fine again without debug mode but I reckon it would be a good thing to look into.
Using WP 3.2.2 and eStore 6.6.8
May 19, 2012 at 1:33 am #45201adminKeymasterYes, this is a known issue. It is not really an issue as most sites don’t run in debug mode so you won’t see these notices there. Anyway, we will look into it.
December 15, 2012 at 6:56 pm #45202josh401MemberAny update on this? I just made the purchase. I run in debug mode all the time to ensure everything always works properly.
I’m not sure if purchases still function properly… as I haven’t yet made a sale since the update.
The warnings are generated from fields which are left blank during the “saving options” process. WP is weird about checking to first see if an option exists. So, if the field is left empty by the user… then WP will throw the warning.
You can get around it by first checking to see if the option exists.
I’d be happy to do some testing and debugging for you. I’m reluctant to make the changes in my own version.. since they will be erased on your next update.
One way or the other… I would like to rid my installation of these warnings.
Please advise… and thank you for a great product!!
December 16, 2012 at 1:40 am #45203josh401MemberI have updated the first tab of the settings page (General Settings). There are now no notices displaying when saving options and wp_debug is set to ‘true’. I am going to start working on the next tab. If I may send the file to you for inspection and testing… please let me know.
Thank you.
December 16, 2012 at 2:38 am #45204adminKeymasterYes, you can send me the updated code. I sent you an email so you can reply there.
December 16, 2012 at 11:00 am #45205josh401MemberThank you, kindly. I have replied to your email with an updated version for you to take for a “test drive”.
Update: This has been applied in the core plugin code so these debug warnings won’t show up anymore if you are running in debug mode.
January 7, 2015 at 2:41 pm #45206blackwolfmanMemberSorry for the bump but Im still getting these errors for eStore and MultiCurrency plugins. Is it still present for other people. Not a problem but as above I run in Debug mode.
January 7, 2015 at 4:14 pm #45207wzpModeratorWhy are you running in Debug mode?
January 8, 2015 at 9:57 am #45208blackwolfmanMemberJust to hceck for errors with plugins as I develop my site further, I guess. Doesnt bother me to be honest but I read it was fixed, but I still see it, so just curious. I will ignore if its common to all. Thanks for a great set of plugins anyway.
