Hi,
I have created a number of pages and set them to be protected. I have also set up a number of Membership levels 1-10 which will automatically upgrade to the next level every 7 days.
However even when a member tries to access a page that is set to Level 1 and their membership is Level 1 they still cannot see the page as it says that the content is restricted.
I also noted that a user who registered 2010-11-07 was automatically updated to level 10 which should have happened after 70 days and not 14. Infact while testing this I was able to see her membership level increase with every refresh that I did on the page??
If I set the inital week 1 page to be membership level 10 (10 Weeks) then they can see the content with no problem once the person is set to level 10.
This is extremely confusing and I hope that you can help.
Thanks,
Vincent

It is actually the number of day(s) after the original subscription start date. I have added help text in eMember to clarify this but maybe you still have a slightly older version of the plugin. You can get a recent build of the plugin from here:
https://support.tipsandtricks-hq.com/update-request
So for example, if you had 3 levels and you wanted someone to be auto upgraded every 7 days then you would configure it like the following:
Level1 -> 7
Level2 -> 14
Level3 -> 21
Does that make sense?
Now, regarding the content restriction… do you have the “Global Access To” fields all checked for Level1?

Thanks for the reply. I had the time for upgrade set incorrectly so that is now resolved.
I have also resolver the other issue so thank you very much for your help.
Kindest regards,

September 28, 2016 at 10:19 pm #26831bob mMemberI also like the plugin a lot but having some issues getting it set up right. I have a membership site that is using the auto upgrade feature to provide new content every 30 days. I seem to be having some problem with the default membership level – I’m not sure what it is and how I change it if needed. Although I’ve checked having a free level I’m not using the free level – rather the first level which I call – Gold-Training Level 1 – is the first level customers access after signing up.
I too, am having the problem of getting the message “You do not have access to view this content” This shows up after logging in and going to the “Gold Training Level 1” page. In the edit portion below on this WP page I have indicated that I want to protect the content but have given access to Gold Training Level’s 1 through 13 as shown below.
sample of my WP page edit in the lower part of the page
Do you want to protect this content?
No, Do not protect this content.
Yes, Protect this content.
Select the membership level that can access this content:
GOLD-Training Level 1
GOLD-Training Level 2
GOLD-Training Level 3
GOLD-Training Level 4
Gold – Training Level 5
Gold – Training Level 6
Gold – Training Level 7
Gold Training Level 8
Gold – Training Level 9
Gold – Training Level 10
Gold – Training Level 11
Gold – Training Level 12
GOLD – Training Level 13
What I trying to accomplish is to use the auto upgrade feature to provide members access to new material each 30 day period in which they pay their membership fee. So they are upgraded from Gold – Training Level 2 after 30 days etc. Actually, the first upgrade is after 14 days. Again, when I do a test, I cannot access the content for the first level which is Gold-Training Level 1 or any other level. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong.
September 29, 2016 at 12:02 am #26832adminKeymasterFirst lets focus on the content protection to make sure that setup is correct and when someone with “GOLD-Training Level 1” is viewing a page has access to that page (according to your protection settings).
Please go through the following checklist which will be very helpful:
Create a test WP Page (this is just for testing) then apply protection for “GOLD-Training Level 1”. Create a test member account with that membership level.
Share the URL of that test WP Page and the username and password of the test member account so I can check how it behaves.
