Hi,
I’m currently using the “Creatives” section of WP Affiliate to provide URLs for users to download zip files. Just above the links is a bit of text telling them what to do, however there seem to be extra
<p>
and<br>
tags appearing in the output (what the Affiliate sees).Is there any chance of stripping these out? Not a major biggie but would be useful as it confuses the textarea a bit…
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Zain
August 7, 2012 at 1:13 am #48116adminKeymasterIs this coming inside the “code” area of the creative? Everything inside the code area is shown exactly as you type it. Otherwise when your affiliates copy this code and paste it in their site, how will there ever be any paragraphs or line breaks? That will mess up the rendering of the output on their site. The purpose of the code block is to just allow affiliates to copy and paste the code so on their site it shows up correctly (The stuff in the “Code” block is not suppose to be human readable).

If there was one, I’d put messages in a “Notes” field or similar, then the link could go into the “Code” part. That way a useful description could be provided about what the creative is, and how to use it.
Where else can I put a message for the Affiliate?
Ideally…
It would be useful to have a straight link to uploaded zip files (or other resources), rather than having to put a message up for the Affiliate about what to do. A Resources tab and a feature to upload files would be a nice to have…
Cheers,
Zain
PS: I can read the Code block… maybe I’m not human!

Would be good if the Description was added to the front-end output… Sometimes, people need to know various bits of information (e.g. “Please don’t use this banner until yyyy-mm-dd etc.).
Thanks again!
