Tagged: PayPal India
I am testing WP estore on my test website for selling digital product. I created buynow button on page (created using shortcode) wp19.shikharclasses.in/simphy/
But when I try to pay with my another personal account I get error
“We aren’t able to process your payment using your PayPal account at this time. Please go back to the merchant and try using a different payment method.”
For you information
1. The mail address for the account in WP estore setup is already verified business account in India
2. I am trying to pay using my personal account (different bank) in India already active, I baught plugin using the same
3. The only payment gateway in WP estore is payPal and only info that I entered in setting is paypal business account email.
Do I need to set up some API credential (but I cant see where?)
BTW I am trying to sell license for my java based software.
By any chance, is your account really a “PayPal India” account? If so, the regular PayPal gateway in eStore will not work; and there is no solution.
For an explanation of “why” regular PayPal (and almost everything else) does not work in India, please see:

You “might” be able to get away with setting up a “regular,” non-PayPal India account, but your ability to do business in INR and with Indian citizens may be prohibited or deemed illegal by the RBI.
Problem found!!
Transaction completes successfully if price of product is set in INR in wp estore setting. Previously it was set as USD.
But now my concern is setting price to INR may lead to same problem when payments from accounts outside India. Kindly suggest a solution.
To be really frank… this is a political problem, not a technology problem. You need to reach out to PayPal India for advice on what “the rules” are for dealing with outside sales.
